Mesotrione is a broad-spectrum selective pre-and post-emergence herbicide that inhibits hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase ( HPPD ), which can effectively control major broad-leaf weeds and some grass weeds.

Action Characters

Mesotrione is easy to transmit in the xylem and phloem of plants, and has contact killing effect and special effect.

The acute oral LD50 of mesotrione in rats was > 5 000 mg / kg. Both mesotrione TC and 100g / L mesotrione SC are low-toxic herbicides.

Prevention Object

Mesotrione SC had good control effect on one-year-old broad-leaf weeds and some gramineous weeds such as Abutilon theophrasti, amaranth, quinoa, polygonum, barnyard grass, Digitaria sanguinalis in corn field, but had poor control effect on Acalypha australis and some gramineous weeds.

Application

Pesticides were applied at 3-5 leaf stage after maize seedling, 1-3 leaf stage of gramineous weeds and 2-4 leaf stage of broadleaf weeds.

The best choice for manual spraying is SW ~ 16 manual sprayer, 11001 fan nozzle, 100 mesh filter, spray volume of 100 ~ 150 liters / hectare, spray pressure of 2 ~ 3 atmospheric pressure. Artificial spraying should be sprayed along the ridge, one ridge at a time, and the spray pressure, the height of the nozzle and the ground and the walking speed should be determined to ensure uniform spraying.

Notice

( 1 ) When the temperature is higher than 27°C, the relative humidity of the air is lower than 65 %, and the wind speed is greater than 4 meters per second, the application should be stopped. Under this condition, 1% vegetable oil spray adjuvant must be added to the liquid.

( 2 ) Do not sway or arbitrarily reduce the height of the nozzle spray by manual spraying.
